"It was great to see the kids being creative. They were all enthusiastic about the mural project and, let me tell you, that is a spirit-lifter for sure!" Melisa Harding

"What an incredible project! When we explained it to the kids, they were amazed they were going to be apart of a mural in Connecticut. All the kids were so polite. We got to know one little boy, Louis, very well. He was giving us high fives on the way out!"
Gayle Moraski

"The children were delightful and enjoyed Lauren and my granddaughter Margaret. They also were amazed at the project. I was so proud to represent AMP. Thank you for the opportunity." JoAnn Ryan

AMP participates in HealthCorps® Fair in Brooklyn, Queens,
the Bronx and Manhattan on May 31, 2008

On Saturday, May 31st, Ellen, along with AMP board members Gayle Moraski, JoAnn Ryan, Bill Harding, and their families and friends, traveled to four boroughs of New York to man booths at the HealthCorps® One Day Health Festival in the city. In four hours, hundreds of kids and adults decorated wooden sticks with paint, markers, glitter and glue for AMP.

In this recent mural project, tongue depressors, decorated by members of HealthCorps®, an organization promoting health and fitness awareness for kids in New York and New Jersey, will be combined into a labyrinthine sculptural element for the giant mural, to be included near the section depicting surgeon Mehmet Oz, AMP board member and HealthCorps® founder.

Huge thanks to our fabulous AMPed-up board and their volunteers: Sherri Dadomo, Kritsen Lamanna, JoAnn's daughter, Lauren and granddaughter Margaret, and Bill's family Kyle, Melisa, and Ricky Harding.
