Be inspired in a BIG way! Experience AMP's five-story indoor mural celebrating the spirit of work and collaboration. Explore three viewing levels, take our audio tour to hear the stories of real workers, and enjoy hands-on art experiences, family activities, and guided tours—all year long, rain or shine.

AMP is for all ages, with free parking, wheelchair accessibility, sensory supports, service dog accommodations, discount programs, and our WORKS FOR ME! free admission program. We are committed to creating a place where everyone feels welcome.

DIRECTIONS

Set your GPS for: 90 Whiting Street, Winsted CT

From the West: Travel eastbound on Route 44 through Winsted. Pass the Winsted Green and Northwestern CT Community College (yellow brick building) on the left. Whiting Street is the next left after the college buildings (across from Dunkin’). AMP is on the right.

From the East: Travel westbound on Route 44 to Winsted. Pass the junction for 183 and Route 8 South. After the next traffic light, take a right onto Whiting Street (across from Dunkin’). AMP is on the right.

From the South: Take Route 8 North. After exiting via the ramp, turn right on Route 44. Take your first right on Whiting Street (across from Dunkin’). AMP is on the right.

From the North: Follow Route 8 South into the center of Winsted. Turn left on Holabird Avenue (traffic light before the Winsted Green). Turn right on Whiting Street. AMP is on the left.

PARKING

Accessible parking and regular parking are available in AMP’s parking lot, in front of the building, along Whiting Street. There is additional parking on AMP’s side of the street. (Do not park in the assigned spaces along the river side of the street.)

Bus parking is in the lot directly in front of the mural building. There are three bus spaces.
